Lazy Mike is known for his harmonica playing and soulful vocals, bringing a unique take on classic blues themes. With newly formed band, “Lazy Mike & the Argyle Jets”, perform a mix of original compositions and covers of blues legends like Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Little Walter Jacobs, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
Lazy Mike and the Argyle Jets music is all about keeping the blues alive, keeping the dance floor jumping, and entertaining with the focus on heartfelt, honest performances.
This gathering of musicians, over time, have had the honor of sharing the stage with Regional and National Blues Acts such as Jason Buie, Sherman “Tank” Doucette, Steve Kozak, David Gogo, Blue Moon Marquee, David Vest, & top International Blues Acts such as Rick Estrin and The Night Cats, Duke Robillard, James Cotton Band, Kenny “Blues Boss”, Downchild, Tommy Castro, & Elvin Bishop just to name a few. The Band has also had the opportunity to open for Bill Johnston, Jim Byrnes, Harpdog Brown, Mark Hummel’s Golden State Lone Start Blues Review & Doc Mclean.
